We often hear people saying that Failure is a stepping stone to success! But I am just wondering how true is it? In today’s rat race can we really afford to let failures teach us and help climb the ladder?
And if it is true, why do parents (or whoever for that matter) scold children for failing in exams? Why can’t they just think that he/she will be successful in life and be quiet? Why does everyone treat failure like shit?
I remember one of my favorite teachers in school, Mrs. Geeta Arora, told me that Success means failure kicked to pieces with hard work!!
I really wonder what does being successful mean?
Is it to make loads of money and become filthy rich?
Does it have something to do with happiness?
Or is it to get a good name in the society?
We’ve seen so many people… not all rich people are/were successful in their lives, and not all great personalities who have a good name in the society are/were rich!
Then what is it that a person needs to be successful? How do you define it?
Is it money? Education? Hard work? Dedication? Fame? Or something else?!
Success – Can you define it?!

Success and Failures cant be defined in terms of business, education, dedication or Fame… Like you said before there are people who are rich but not successfull…how do u define them unsuccessfull…they were successful that is why they are rich…You are contradicting your own statement here….(i am not confronting your views..just presenting mine…)
and the Second thing.that people who have name aren’t/weren’t rich..since they choose not to..For them the value of money was not so much as their name….thats it…
For being successfull… the person should be confine his hunger for all these (money, education, hard work, deddication)(which he is not) .. since MAN wants more in every field…So if the feeling of contention comes in …you ought to be successfull..I am not saying that dont go for higher education…but there should be a proper time for all these things..what will he gain..if he only studies and is not socially active…or if a person is only socially active and is not well educated…so all these go hand in hand…I think you got want I wanted to say….
(Once again..these comments are just my viewpoint..and no offenses to what you think of these things…)
Have a nice day…See ya…
Well.. that was a good perspective Saurabh.. but I still don’t agree that people who are rich have to be successful… they might be born with a silver spoon!
hey …
Actually you are not understanding the fact..
The thing is if they are rich..they must have been successfull in life…in some way or the other… Meaning, either in their luck, or time or anything.. success isnt only about money … you have to take care about other factors too..if they have success with their fate..it would rain success..
I hope it might have made it more clear… May be..
Though this is what i think..
Success is one’s own perception!…A millionaire may not be succeeful and a beggar may be successful! It depends on contentment, fulfillment and lot more what words can explain!..
Failure is unexceptable to parents especially of their children as they dont want them to be dishearted , they want to see their kids on top and they forget in order to be succeeful one has to learn…learn from mistakes…learn from failures….but failures bring unhappiness which parents cant see in their children’s life…..Rem when a child falls twice then only he/she learns to walk!:))
For being successful in life…one needs a mixture of everthing…education, money, hard work, dedication, fame…or may be something he maynt need anything…but before thinkin of success one shd be clear of one’s goals in life, shd be clear of the path he/she has to take, and should have the determination that he wod acheive what he/she wants from life!…But success is something which can be achieved by a small or a very big thing in life!…And rem Success and Failures always go hand in hand..as if we dont get failures..U wod never know the importance or worth of SUCCESS (“the golden word”)!
