The new fever to have gripped India is Arjun Singh’s or Congress Party’s yet another silly gimmick. Hiking reservations to almost 50% in IIMs, IITs and Central Universities – the cream of the country
Over the past few weeks, there has been a number of protest from the students all over the country against the reservations and quotas but of no avail. It seems all the hue and cry is landing on the deaf ears. Our very own Mr Arjun Singh has proposed a 50% quota for the backward classes which means that half of the seats every where shall be reserved for the so called backward classes and the balance half for the meritorius candidates. The so called backward classes would no longer have to study as they have a secured place in the universities and colleges and they dont even have to study there as our dear cabinet minister has ensured that they get secured jobs not only in Government offices but in good companies too. So now would you call them the BACKWARD CLASSES….i guess now…i would rather call them the PRIVILEDGED CLASS!
Government should seriously give a thought to the reservations. Every job needs basic skillset to perform it. To learn the skill, one has to be capable. If one’s mental aptitude is not up to the mark, or he cant understand human’s body, how is he going to treat a patient? Will these politicians, who are raising the voice for reservations, be ready to get operated by these under qualified doctors? Definitely no!!
The only solution to this is:
Allow the reservations, but one has to score marks more than the marks at which the admission is closing. The advantage here is if two people has same marks, then the one who belongs to OBCs will get the admission under the reservation.
We are in the 21st Century and even after 60 years of independence we are talking about reservations and quotas. Shame on us!!!!! Just a few interested politicians cannot take the future of this country for a ride. Come one and come all. Let us protest this in whichever way we can.
