Why do I build expectations when I know they won’t be fulfilled?
Why don’t people understand how much happiness one can get with small things and gestures?
Why do I get upset over stupid things, knowing that they are stupid?
Why can’t I concentrate on work right now… F***.. I have lots to do!!!

We often hear people saying that Failure is a stepping stone to success! But I am just wondering how true is it? In today’s rat race can we really afford to let failures teach us and help climb the ladder?
And if it is true, why do parents (or whoever for that matter) scold children for failing in exams? Why can’t they just think that he/she will be successful in life and be quiet? Why does everyone treat failure like shit?
I remember one of my favorite teachers in school, Mrs. Geeta Arora, told me that Success means failure kicked to pieces with hard work!!
I really wonder what does being successful mean?
Is it to make loads of money and become filthy rich?
Does it have something to do with happiness?
Or is it to get a good name in the society?
We’ve seen so many people… not all rich people are/were successful in their lives, and not all great personalities who have a good name in the society are/were rich!
Then what is it that a person needs to be successful? How do you define it?
Is it money? Education? Hard work? Dedication? Fame? Or something else?!

The Drive!

Wow…I finally did it! Ever since I banged my car while taking a U-turn, I used to feel that I can never really drive…But I was so wrong, I did it! And that’s how it happened..

Sam: I need to go early this Thursday and Friday, so you will have to go on your own.
Me: Ok. I will take the car and go on my own 😉
Sam: Hahaha… I don’t think you can drive independently for next three months!
Me: Why, of course I can.
Sam: No you can’t.
Me: Fine. I don’t want your car, I will buy one for myself [with a 😦 ].
Sam: Still you can’t.

Silence for 2 minutes…

Sam: May be someone doesn’t care for the car, but for the one who will drive it!

I am still silent!

Sam: Keep your hand on your heart and answer this. Do you really think you can take the car independently?
Me: YES (Within probably 10 milliseconds)
Sam: Ok, then take it tomorrow. I will work out of the CVR office (The one which is very close to our place)
Me: Ok (Till this time I thought he is kidding!)
Sam: You’re sure?
Me: Yes, absolutely.
Sam: Fine, I won’t change my decision…
Me: Neither would I.

Got up in the morning, still thinking that something might stop me! Had breakfast as usual, got up to go. Sam just said, “Give me call when you reach” … Well, nothing could stop me!!!

Thanks Sameer, for always having that confidence in me.
And you know what; I drove better than all those days!!! Yippee!!

As you left your house,
You forgot to turn around,
Someone was waiting with a smile,
To wish you a great day,
A few words that would have,
Certainly made you cheery and gay.
Have you lost something today?
As you rushed in the morning,
To reach your place of work,
You entered your office and went,
Straight to your cabin in a huff,
Someone was waiting for you,
With a piece of cake n goodies,
To share with you and make you,
Wish him a very happy birthday.
Have you lost something today?
Over the years you have lost,
So many beautiful moments like these,
And they accumulated into melancholy,
That took away your mental peace.
You forgot what it was to smile,
You forgot to relax just a while,
You remembered so many other things,
But forgot the relations were meant to stay.
Have you lost something today?
The bitterness of your life made you,
Forget what it was to just say,
I love you to those you loved,
With a peck on the cheek, or a soft hug.
And they drifted away into wilderness,
Till it was tough to come back,
And then one day you woke up,
To the bitter realities of the day.
Have you lost something today?
Just remember life is all about,
Filling it with innocent moments of fun,
It’s all about giving and taking,
And keeping your hope and to hold on,
Hold on before the sands of time slip,
Into oblivion and go forever away,
Else the whole world will be asking,
Have you lost something today?

Kalpana Chawla Reborn!!!

Just read this article..

“A four-year-old girl who claims her name is Kalpana Chawla and that she died up in the skies four years ago is drawing huge crowds in a village here in Uttar Pradesh.

Residents of Nar Mohammadpur village, where little Upasana is visiting her relatives, think she might be the reincarnation of the India born astronaut Kalpana Chawla, who died when US space shuttle Columbia crashed four years ago.”[link]

Next thing we know, New York Times and Wall Street Journal will pick up this news with a lengthy explanation of how Indians have been believing in reincarnation since 2700 years ago with an added chart or two!
